Notes for buyers, written by the factory
Three things buyers ask before they email anyone: whether a Chinese plant can be checked without flying there, what the unit price is actually made of, and when a US plant is simply the better answer. We wrote the third one against our own interest, which is the only reason to trust the first two.
| Note | The question it answers | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Vetting a Chinese factory without flying there | Twelve checks that decide the outcome, and the answers that should end the conversation | Open |
| What the unit price is made of | Eight cost blocks, which ones move at small volume, and where quotes hide the difference | Open |
| China or a US plant, honestly compared | Where each side wins, by dimension, and which buyer should pick which | Open |

Every check in these notes applies to this factory as much as to the next one. Send a question we cannot answer and we will say so in writing rather than answer it badly.
